The 4-H Gardening project is the perfect project for both youth who already have an established love of gardening and those who are just beginning. Members of the gardening project will be educated on when to plant different seeds and what conditions plants should grow in, techniques to sow seeds, how much to water and when, and even harvesting in the case of fruit or vegetable producing plants. In addition, most plants grown through the gardening project qualify as 'Still exhibits' at the Yuba-Sutter Fair, is available to youth of any age. Members of this project will feel a deep sense of satisfaction from watching their very own plant emerge from the ground and grow to be larger and stronger over time.
